TOP 6 Spring/Summer 2014 Nail Polishes

Hi guys, I wanted to share with you some of my favourite nail polish shades that I like to wear during Spring and Summer !

#1  Pretty Pastels - Mint & Turquoise
Pastels never go out of fashion,
pretty pastel mint shade is a must have in every girls nail varnish collection !

My favourite is this Barry M Textured Nail polish in "Ridley Road"
These textured nail polishes are super pigmented and the best thing about them is their finish,
as they dry and give your nails a rough, sandy finish.
( Not everyone likes that tho, so I suppose it either love or hate )

I also absolutely love this turquoise shade from Bourjois, It's called "Turquoise Block"
and has a greenish/minty colour.
This is my go-to shade, I always end up wearing it at least once a month ! haha
I wore this shade last summer & I'll definitely be wearing it lots this summer !

You can find both at Boots or your local chemists that stock these brands.

#2 Yellow
I think that yellow nail varnish is probably one of my absolute faves for the summer,
it not only compliments summer tan beautifully, it also puts me in a good mood !
Over the years, I've been looking for this perfect yellow shade that is very opaque, not neon but still very bright, this perfect canary yellow, and I finally found it !

The nail polish I'm talking about is by OPI and it's from their Brazil Collection
and it's called "I just cant Copecabana".

I've got mine at the Irish Beauty Show 2014 back in March , but you can get yours at: cloud10beauty

#3 Pretty in Pink

Pink is definitely an All-year-round colour, but during spring and summer I opt for the pastel and bright shades.
One for my favourites is this Rimmel 60 seconds nail polish in "262 Ring A Rind O'Roses"
It's the perfect ballerina pink colour !
I'm not the biggest fan of the formula as these 60 secons nail polishes by Rimmel
as they seem to chip off my nails within less than 24 hours,
but I found that using a great base and top coat such as
the Seche Vite can prolong a life of any manicure !

#4 Oranges

I love orange shades on my nails just as much as I love yellow nail polishes !
My favourite is this Essie "Fear Or Desire".

I always get compliment when I wear this shade !

#5 Glitter / Holographic nails

Glitter is not only to be worn during the festive season,
glitter sparkles beautifully in the sun.
I would stick to more neutral glitters such as subtle silvers and golds.
My favourite is this Barry M #349 (It is a limited edition so I'm not sure if you can still get a hand on it )
but it is a silver glittery nail varnish that when applied to your nails,
it reflects all sorts of different colours.
You can see yellows, greens, pinks and orange sparkles in one nail varnish shade.
It is one of these Holographic nail varnishes.

I've been searching the web to find the most accurate dupe for this shade and the one I found is this OPI DS Coronation nail varnish.

#6 The classic Nude
Nude is definitely the shade that never, ever fails, as long as you find your perfect nude shade.
The shade in the picture is a shellac/gel polish, it is the Sensational Gel Polish in Taupe Tulips (the girl in the picture is my friend and it was just after I've done her shellac :) )
It is a perfect nude that compliments all skin types and since it is a gel polish it lasts for up to 2 weeks !

My regular nail polish that has a perfect nude shade
and is basically identical as the Sensational shade is Essie "Sand Tropez"

It's my go-to nude and definitely an all time favourite nude shade !

So that is all for my fave SS14 nail polish shades.
I do wear other nail polishes than these,
but these are definitely the ones I always go back to and they deserve to be mentioned :)
