Another post today, but I really wanted to share my opinion on the new Loreal Feria Pastel Toning Conditioner that I've tried out recently.
A very interesting hair colouring product has recently caught my eye as I was looking at the hair dyes in my local chemist, it was a colouring, toning conditioner.
I believe it was the first time I've seen a product like that and I knew I had to try it out.
I am a big fan of dip dye, pastel, ombre and other funky hair colour ideas and I've tried plenty of coloured hair dyes before.
I've had the regular ombre in my hair:
I've also had pink dip dye ends:
I've also tried pink, blue & purple ombre:
And I've also had lavender hair:
So I thought trying out a different colouring product would be fun :)
There was three different pastel shades:
Pink panther, lilac lavender & peach punch.
These are pastel toning conditioners that are supposed to add translucent tones to your hair.
It is recommended for light blondes.
What I really liked about it is that you use as a conditioner.
So I was debating on which colour I shoud go for and I picked....
The Peach Punch one !
I was inspired by these celebs rocking the peachy hair,
Mary Kate Olsen, Katy Perry and Sienna Miller,
They all looked fab with their peach coloured hair, so I was curious how I'd end up looking :)
In the box you get:
The instruction manual, a tube with the coloured conditioner & a pair of high quality black protecting gloves.
The leaflet gives you step by step instruction on how to do the whole process and it is super easy and quick process !
Before I go into more detail, I want to mention that my hair is not bleached, I have a very light ash blonde hair, but lightened using a permanent hair dye that has a very low % of peroxide in it,
meaning my hair would not pick up the toning conditioner as bleached hair would.
This is the hair dye I always use on my hair.
Now on to how I've used the Loreal Feria Pastel Conditioner:
-I started off with washing my hair as usual but didn't apply the conditioner.
-I've detangled my wet hair using my tangleteezer
& sectioned it using the hair clips.
-I've then put on the protectiing gloves and started applying the toning conditioner to my hair section by section.
-As I applied the conditioner on each hair section I've then combed through the hair to distribute the product evenly on the whole section.
-After I've Applied the conditioner all over my hair I've comber through the whole hair again and put it up and put a clear hair/shower cap on.
-I've then left the conditioner on my hair for 15 minutes to let the colour to develop.
-I then rinsed my hair (until the water run clear) & blowdryed my hair.
The finished result:
Super Soft & Subtle Peach tones in my hair !
The result was not exactly what I expected, as I thought the colour would pick up more evenly througout my hair but I did like the result.
Obviously, certain sections of my hair were more 'peachy' than the other, as the colour picked up alot more on the lighter parst of my hair, such us my fringe or the ends, but I believe the colour would be more even on bleached hair or hair that are more of an even blonde tone.
My hair is a mixture of lighter and darker shades of blonde so the colour wouldn't be as even.
Conclusion:
This is definitely a product worth trying, It gave a very subtle result and it would definitely be recommended for those who want to try funky hair colour without being afraid it would be too vibrant.
If you want to experiment with your hair but are a bit afraid of coloured, dip dyed hair, this is a product for you as it will give a subtle colour to your hair.
Another advantage is that it lasts between 3-5 washes ( again making it great for those who want to try something new) so you can quickly go back to your previous hair if you don't like it.
In my hair the colour was already very washed out after the first wash ( I've done the hair on thursday night and already washed it once ) and the colour is barely visible, but still my hair has a tint of peach colour in it.
My hair was also super soft and silky after the conditioner as it really nourished my hair, so another massive + ! So you know that this product will not dry out your hair as other colourants would.
I will definitely try out the other shades, or even try this Peachy one again as I loved the result.
I'd definitely recommend this for anyone (with light blonde hair, unless you're willing to lighten your hair to try this) who want to try something new !
I think it's a gorgeous hair colour for the summer,
and it would compliment many skin tones,
especially summer tan :)
Let me know if you found this helpful and if you'd like to see more reviews !
